Catherine Grimley hails from Madden, County Armagh in Ireland.
Her passion for Irish Song and Music was instilled in her heart from the age of 8, when her older sister Paula taught her many Irish songs and coached her to use her beautiful singing voice to retell some of Ireland's greatest stories and folklore.
Catherine is currently working on a new album, a compilation of her own material, which is sure to be something very special and eagerly awaited.
At the end of 2011, Catherine released her first solo album 'In my Father's House' which was exceptionally well received.
In 2011, Catherine spent a lot of time on the road touring with the McCusker Band bringing her stunning show across Ireland.
In February 2010 Catherine Grimley was crowned Winner of Northern Ireland's 'U Factor' Competition, securing a place on the 118 Irish Show Cruise which sets sail from Dublin in November 2010. Throughout the competition Catherine proved her vocal range, singing a number of songs of different genres, wowing her audiences and impressing the celebrity judges.
On 14th August 2009, Catherine won Ireland's 'North East has Talent' which was hosted by Fiddler's Nightclub in Carrickmacross. After 10 weeks of competition, Catherine stood out with her unique singing voice which gained her many new fans and supporters. She topped the judges poll and the audience overwhelming voted her Number 1.
Earlier in 2009, Catherine Grimley was also crowned Ulster Scór Sinsear Solo Singing with her rendition of the late Sarah Makem's 'The Banks of the Callen'.
